About the presentation

The internationally renowned physician, author, and speaker Gabor Maté is coming to Athens to present his book Scattered Minds, published by Key Books, at an open-to-the-public event.

In this rare public appearance, the author will share his radical approach to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), highlighting the decisive role of environment, upbringing, and lived experiences in shaping the human mind. Drawing on his extensive clinical experience as well as his personal story—having been diagnosed with ADHD himself, as well as his three children—he proposes a more humane and hopeful way of understanding and addressing ADHD.

This talk will offer the audience a unique opportunity to engage with the ideas of one of the most influential contemporary thinkers on trauma, mental health, and parenting.

A knowledge-rich and inspiring experience for parents, educators, and anyone seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and others.

The event will be opened by psychologist and author Agni Mariakaki, a Deree – ACG alumna.

Following Dr. Maté’s 90-minute talk, in English, a 30-minute Q&A session with the audience will take place.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required, HERE.
