At The American College of Greece (ACG), sustainability isn’t just an idea—it’s a core principle embraced by our community. Our Sustainability Face of the Month series highlights ACG members who embody sustainable living and inspire change through their actions and involvement in ACG-led activities on and off campus.
Meet December’s Sustainability Face: Zoi Trigkaki
Zoi Trigkaki is a third-year Environmental Studies major and a member of the ACG Sustainability Leaders. Passionate about raising awareness and driving positive change, Zoi has volunteered at the Boroume at the Farmers’ Market initiative, powered by ACG, and participated in the EMFASIS workshop “An Evening Together” co-organized by Deree and the NGO EMFASIS.
In addition, she is currently working on a documentary in collaboration with the Cinema Studies department about the Hidden Water of the Kifissos River and the Hadrian Aqueduct to spread awareness about the vital role of water and our interactions with it.
“I try to make conscious choices in my daily life, like avoiding driving when I can, using the college shuttle or public transportation, composting using my neighbourhood’s brown bins, and shopping second-hand,” shares Zoi.
Through her academic and personal daily actions, Zoi demonstrates that sustainable living is both practical and impactful, showing how individual choices combined with active participation in initiatives can inspire positive change!
At ACG, we proudly feature members of the ACG Community, students, faculty, and staff, who lead sustainable lives on campus and beyond and inspire our community.
Because ACG Cares!
