Science and MathematicsBSc, Statistics; Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB); PhD, University of Kent, UK
I hold a BSc in Statistics from the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), Greece, and a PhD from the University of Kent, UK, specializing in Bayesian Statistics, variable selection, and clustering methods on high-dimensional data. I have served as a postdoctoral research fellow in statistics and epidemiology at the University of Ioannina and lectured in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University College of Dublin, Ireland. From 2018 to 2022, I collaborated with the Open University of Greece, the Department of Statistics at the AUEB, and the Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum. My research interests include high-dimensional problems, machine learning within the Bayesian framework, with applications in the area of biostatistics, covering topics like missing data, meta-analysis, cancer research, and statistical genetics.
