Dr Georgia Kythreoti graduated with first class honours, BSc in Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry, from the Department of Chemistry, The University of Manchester, UK. She acquired her Doctor of Philosophy title also from the University of Manchester, where she was focused on the development of green routes towards the synthesis of a novel cephalosporin intermediate, for a semi-synthetic preparation of cephalosporin antibiotic production.
Dr Kythreoti has been a faculty member of the Department of Science and Mathematics since 2021, where she teaches Chemistry courses at the Biomedical Sciences Program and supervises capstone projects related to her research interests. She is also involved in research collaborations with the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”.
