The educational aims of the Environmental Studies minor are to provide students with a deeper knowledge of the current global environmental issues, concerns, and available solutions; moreover, to help them develop cognitive, practical, and transferable skills needed in pursuing either a green and sustainability-related career or graduate studies in environment-related fields. Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary field that examines the multiple dimensions of environmental issues in an increasingly complex world, providing sustainable solutions, as well as mitigation and adaptation options to address global problems at multiple levels: environmental, social, economic, and political.
