Stamatina Katsiveli

Dr. Katsiveli received her PhD in Linguistics from Queen Mary University of London, funded by QMUL Principal’s Studentship. Her field of expertise is sociolinguistics, focusing on the linguistic construction of interpersonal communication in everyday and professional settings. She is also a trained group analyst and group-analytic psychotherapist(He.Ne.GA.), investigating the nuances of group interactions in educational, organizational, therapeutic, and other settings. Her research interests encompass the interplay between language and (institutional) identity, gender/sexuality, and group communication, seeking to advance an interdisciplinary approach that enriches the understanding of communication dynamics. Dr. Katsiveli has published her work in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Pragmatics, Gender & Language, and Anglistica AION, co-authored several papers and book chapters, and presented at various international conferences. She is currently a reviewer for Gender & Language and Journal of Language and Discrimination.
