Dr. Georgios Kokosalakis is the Executive Director of the Center of Excellence in Shipping, Logistics, & Energy, and is appointed as an Associate Professor at ACG. Dr. Kokosalakis graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, holding a Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as parallel studies in business administration. A shipowner, manager, and entrepreneur himself with broad experience in the industry, Dr. Kokosalakis has also worked as a consultant for other firms, while continuing his work as a researcher and scholar. Interdisciplinary areas have always attracted his attention, as he has worked professionally and scholarly in areas that combine management, operations, engineering, monitoring, artificial intelligence, wireless sensor networks, energy conservation, and environmental preservation.
