Chrysovalantis Stergiou is an assistant professor of philosophy at the American College of Greece. He has studied Physics and earned his MA and PhD in Philosophy and History of Science from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His research interests are focused on the areas of Philosophical and Structural Foundations of Physical Theories and the Formal Methodology of Science. He has published several articles in the Foundations of Physics and other academic journals and is the co-author of two entries on induction and probability in the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy. He is actively participating in international conferences and has been an invited speaker at the Sigma Club, in the London School of Economics (2020).  As a post-doctoral student, he participated in the Thales Research Project: Aspects and Prospects of Realism in the Philosophy of Science and Mathematics (2012 – 2015).  He is a member of the Philosophy of Science Association, the Greek Philosophical Society and an (extraordinary) member of the Hellenic Mathematical Society. Currently, he is working on the notion of perspective and perspectivism in Algebraic Quantum Field Theory.
