Dr. Elly Pirocacos, Assistant Professor of Philosophy. She engages in research in a broad are of interests, including ancient Greek philosophy, philosophy of education (her book The Pedagogic Mission combines these two), moral philosophy and existential thought, especially where these intersect with issues of epistemology and metaphysics. She is currently completing her book The Stoic Agitator: On Why I am Not Stoic, and simultaneously working on two book projects, The Feminist Agitator: On Why I Am Still a Feminist and Introducing the Existential Greats.
