Ionas Beratis

Dr.Ion Beratis is a member of the Psychology Department since 2011 and holds the position of Assistant Professor of Psychology. His studies include an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the Psychology Department of the National University of Athens, an MSc degree in Neuropsychology from the University of Edinburgh, and a PhD degree from the 1st Department of Psychiatry of the Medical School of the National University of Athens. In addition, he has received clinical training in cognitive and behavioral therapy by completing the program of the Greek Society of Cognitive Psychotherapies. His particular research interests cover the following domains: neurocognitive/neuropsychiatric symptoms of individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and mild dementia, risk factors for the development of schizophrenia, the impact of neurodegenerative disorders on driving skills, cognitive symptoms of individuals with multiple sclerosis, clinical and cognitive symptoms of individuals with genetic Parkinson’s disease, intervention programs for individuals with MCI and mild dementia.
