Nicolette Trahoulia

Nicolette Trahoulia holds B.A. in Art History, UCLA; M.A. in Art History, Harvard University; Ph.D. in Art History, Harvard University. She has been a member of the faculty at Deree since 1999. She is a former Fulbright research scholar and author of The Greek Alexander Romance: Venice Hellenic Institute Codex 5 (1997) as well as lead editor of Image and Materiality in Byzantium and Beyond (forthcoming). She has published in international journals and anthologies on topics relating to gender and hagiography, art and subjectivity, as well as the interface of text, art, and performance. Her current project deals with late antique ivories as a means of self-representation.
