Stylianos Kotsias

Stylianos Kotsias joined Deree College in February 2009, where he currently teaches accounting and financial management courses. From January 2013 to August 2018, Stylianos served as Head of the Accounting and Finance Department, successfully leading the validation of the academic programs “Accounting with Finance” and “Finance”, accredited by The Open University. Between 2014 and 2019, he also served as a visiting lecturer at ALBA Graduate Business School. In addition to his administrative and teaching roles at Deree, Stylianos has served as an external examiner for academic programs in accounting. From 2013 to 2015, he led the ‘International Consulting Program’, a collaboration between Virginia Commonwealth University and Deree College, where he established connections with the business community for applied business projects undertaken by students working in diverse cultural teams. His research interests include accounting and financial accountability reforms in the Greek public sector. Dr. Kotsias has been awarded a scholarship from the Greek State Scholarship Foundation (IKY) and has received a research grant from the Edinburgh Center of European Studies.
