Despina Gavrili-Alexandris has been a member of the faculty since 2005. She has taught in the areas of Marketing and Tourism and Hospitality Management. She currently teaches in the areas of Tourism Planning and Development, Hospitality and F&B Operations, and Cultural Tourism. Her research interests lie in the areas of cultural tourism and experiential learning, with recent publications in both areas. She serves as the Coordinator for the International Tourism and Hospitality Management Program and the Internship Coordinator for the School of Business and Economics, overseeing internships taken for academic credit. She has a long working experience in various managerial positions in the Wine, Tourism and Hospitality industry. She has been a member of the Association of Greek Women in Tourism, whose efforts contributed to the establishment of the Museum of Tourism.
