Katerina Diamantaki is an Assistant Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator for the MA in Strategic Communication and Public Relations at Deree-ACG. She has also previously coordinated the MA in Digital Communication and Social Media. Her research examines how emerging media shapes social interaction and information, public debate, identity formation, and community interactions. She has presented her work at international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals, edited volumes, and conference proceedings, focusing on the impact of digital media on space, memory, journalism, political engagement, and health-related communication. She currently works on a research study on the destigmatization of mental health and the demand (or lack thereof) for accuracy in the discussions surrounding mental health, particularly in the context of social media platforms like TikTok, as well as research on the digital transformation of the pharmacy sector in Greece.DrDiamantakihasparticipated in numerousnational and EU-funded research initiatives andserved two terms as NationalRepresentative for Greece at WAPOR. She also has extensive professional experience as a communications advisor to Members of the European Parliament and the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specializing in political communication and media strategy.
