Daniel McCormac has been a member of the Deree faculty since 1998. He teaches journalism and public relations courses. He has three decades of experience in print and broadcast journalism as a reporter, writer, editor, and television anchor; and as a public relations media officer and corporate public speaking coach and communication consultant. His main area of academic interest is the use of frames in media and political communication. As head of the Department of CommunicationatDereehe led the department to its initial Open University validation in 2010, and then to two five-year revalidations, in 2015and 2020. He is a member of the ACG NECHE re-accreditation team.
