My PhD is focused on professional dance education in Greece. This PhD is primarily research, drawing its theoretical background from the fields of sociology, dance studies, and education. I was also part of the PICS project-CNRS/France (https://fundit.fr/en/calls/cnrs-call-international-joint-research-projects-pics) from 2013 to 2015, where I contributed primary research on the topic of gendered perceptions of Greek contemporary dance in the press. In collaboration with the Small Enterprises Institute GSEVEE, I was part of the team that created the new student handbooks and educational guides for the area of dance in the Greek Institutes of Vocational Studies (ΙΕΚ) (2022-2024). I have presented papers in Greek and international conferences on topics related to dance education and published articles on topics related to dance history.
