Ms. Alexandra Kolia joined the Department of English and Modern Languages in January 2021. She holds a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her current teaching involves courses of Spanish as a modern language (Spanish I and Spanish II). She is especially interested in the areas of second language acquisition and intercultural learning. For her MA in TESOL, Deree – The American College of Greece (Trinity College London CertTESOL) she has conducted an action research focused on “The effectiveness of task-based language teaching in developing the four skills”. She has been teaching Spanish for different age and level groups in Athens and has extensive experience as a teacher of Spanish language in secondary education
