Dr. Nikolaos Stoupos is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance at Deree – The American College of Greece. He holds a Ph.D. and a Post-Doc in International Finance from the University of Macedonia. In 2019, he successfully achieved to grant full scholarship for his Post-Doc research from the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). Previously, he had been teaching modules of Macroeconomics, Portfolio Management, Banking and International Finance at the University of Patras, University of the Aegean, and University of Thessaly.

He has also participated in research projects at the University of Macedonia and the Labor Institute of General Confederation of Greek Workers (INE-GSEE). He has published several papers in academic journals, such as Journal of Common Market Studies, Emerging Markets Review and Finance Research Letters. He has co-authored two chapters in honorary books published in the US and the UK. His research interests are mainly focused on the European Finance, Exchange Rates Regimes and European Monetary and Financial Integration.
