Mission 

To perform high-impact research in various fields of biomedical and environmental sciences, following interdisciplinary approaches, with focus on environmental health, climate change and pollution mitigation, ecosystems and biodiversity, as well as on the identification of novel bioactive compounds for pharmaceutical and environmental applications and the development of novel methodologies to assess genotoxicity and detect cancer. Our goals include the improvement of public health and the promotion of sustainable solutions in a rapidly changing environment.

Vision 

To establish partnerships with local and external academic entities and eventually become a research hub in novel drug and biomarker design, as well as in environmental health and sustainability.

The Department of Natural Sciences faculty is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research in biomedical, environmental, and mathematical sciences, fostering innovative solutions to global challenges through collaborative inquiry, methodological development, and the dissemination of knowledge to improve public health, promote sustainability, and drive scientific progress.
