At The American College of Greece (ACG), sustainability isn’t just an idea—it’s a core principle embraced by our community. Our Sustainability Face of the Month series highlights ACG members who embody sustainable living and inspire change through their actions and involvement in ACG-led activities on and off campus.
After a short summer hiatus, the series returns!
Meet October’s Sustainability Face: Ioannis Chasoulidis
Ioannis Chasoulidis is a Deree student and ACG Sustainability Leader, who has been actively involved in sustainability initiatives since joining ACG earlier this year.
For Ioannis, the sustainability mindset was instilled in him since his days as a young scout.
“Sustainability was already a familiar concept to me through my experience as a scout,” Ioannis shared. “We often organized food collections for families in need, tree planting excursions, and coastal cleanups.”
Now, as part of the ACG community, he eagerly continues engaging in similar activities, such as volunteering through the Boroume at the Farmers’ Market weekly initiative, and, overall, contributing as a citizen with an ecological conscience.
Through his ongoing participation, Ioannis embodies the spirit of sustainability and civic engagement that the ACG Sustainability Leaders student organization seeks to foster.
At ACG, we proudly feature members of the ACG Community, students, faculty, and staff, who lead sustainable lives on campus and beyond and inspire our community.
Because ACG Cares!
