
During the European Sustainable Development Week 2025, Dr. Stella Apostolaki, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at the Department of Science and Mathematics – Deree, and Executive Director of the Center of Excellence in Sustainability, The American College of Greece (ACG), delivered 2 engaging discussions under the main theme of “Dimensions of Sustainability in Higher Education: Theory, Research, and Practice.”
On Friday, September 25, Dr. Apostolaki explored the social dimensions of sustainability, focusing particularly on climate change and inequality. On Monday, October 6, Dr Apostolaki, together with Dr. Antonios Alevizos, Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and Co-Director of the United Nations Hellenic Network of Sustainable Development Solutions, conducted a seminar introducing the dimensions of sustainability within the context of higher education.
The event is connected to and promotes the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
