On Friday, September 26, 2025, Deree – The American College of Greece – opened its doors for the annual Fall Activities Fair, transforming the campus into a lively hub of energy, curiosity, and connection. The Front Lawn and Main Corridor buzzed with students exploring over 60 clubs and academic societies, each offering a unique way to get involved and make the most of college life.
The fair showcased the incredible diversity of student interests. Academic societies, such as the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy group, offered hands-on opportunities to explore professional fields and work closely with faculty. Cultural and creative clubs, including the African Heritage Society and the ACG Choir, brought the campus to life with music, dance, and stories that reflected the diverse global backgrounds of Deree students.
Throughout the afternoon, students moved seamlessly between booths, asking questions, trying out activities, and signing up for clubs that captured their curiosity. The Student Emergency Response Force (S.E.R.F.) offered demonstrations that drew enthusiastic crowds, while the Deree Student Activities Board (SAB) shared upcoming events that promised fun and community engagement. Environmental initiatives, artistic expression, academic exploration, and professional development all had a place at the fair, allowing every student to find a community that fit their passions.
The Fall Activities Fair embodies the ACG tradition of learning beyond the classroom. It wasn’t just about joining clubs; it was about discovering new interests, forming lasting friendships, and taking the first steps toward personal growth and leadership. By the end of the day, students had connected, laughed, learned, and imagined the many ways they could shape their college experience.
For students seeking to expand their knowledge, explore new hobbies, or engage with peers who share their passions, Deree’s clubs and academic societies provide a wealth of opportunities. There truly is something for everyone, whether it’s music, debate, sustainability, or community service.
