The American College of Greece is pleased to announce that SDG4U, a European-funded Erasmus+ project in which the Center of Excellence in Sustainability (CoES), ACG Research Center, participates as a partner, has received a BRAVO Sustainability Award 2025 in the Education – Young Generation – Lifelong Learning category.
The award ceremony was held on Friday, November 28, at the Museum of the Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation, marking a moment of recognition for the project’s impact. Representatives of the Greek partner institutions received the award.
The SDG4U project consortium is comprised of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Coordinator), through its Political Economy of Sustainable Lab; The American College of Greece Research Center, Center of Excellence in Sustainability; Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, through its Laboratory of Sociology of Culture and Civilization; the University of Murcia; University College Cork; and the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED).
The award recognizes the consortium’s strong commitment to leveraging Erasmus+ initiatives as catalysts for sustainable development at both the national and European levels. This distinction recognizes SDG4U’s contribution to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular focus on SDG 4 – Quality Education, by fostering innovation, collaboration, and societal engagement through higher education.
Notably, the project has excelled at applying best practices to develop an SDG mapping tool for university courses, educational methodologies, academic materials, and practices that promote the incorporation of the 17 UN SDGs into academic curricula and their implementation across universities.
Congratulations to all partners and contributors for this important distinction!
