Position: Dean, Frances Rich School of Fine and Performing Arts

The American College of Greece is seeking qualified candidates at the FT rank of Associate Professor or Professor for the position of Dean of the Frances Rich School of Fine and Performing Arts. The Frances Rich School of Fine and Performing Arts is one of three undergraduate schools at Deree—The American College of Greece and offers programs in music (including performance), theatre arts, visual arts, graphic design and art history as well as hosting an active series of exhibitions and performances. The Dean will play a crucial leadership role in ACG’s academic and cultural engagement with students, scholars, and the local and international community of the arts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree in the arts, humanities or other relevant to the structure of the School discipline.

The Frances Rich School of Fine & Performing Arts seeks a part time instructor to teach undergraduate courses in the areas of Digital Design.

Required Qualifications:

  • MA in Graphic Design / Visual Communication or equivalent field with at least one degree from a US or UK institution.
  • PhD or MFA helpful.
  • Eligible for Ministry of Education Colleges faculty registration number.

Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of the digital ecosystem, from a designer’s perspective.
  • Specialized and broad theoretical knowledge in areas of Digital Design: UX, UI, web and app design.
  • Significant professional experience and practical knowledge in the field of digital Graphic Design / Visual Communication.
  • Understanding of currently emerging technologies such as AR/VR.

The Department of Information Technology, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Deree-The American College of Greece is looking for an Associate Lecturer in Information Technology with focus on intelligent systems & software development. Responsibilities for the position include lecturing in UG modules and department/College service. The position also offers the opportunity to be involved with externally funded (including EU) R&D projects through the ACG-Research, Technology & Innovation Network (RTIN) and the ACG Research Center (ACG-RC).

Required Qualifications:

Position: Content Manager, Writer, Editor – Office of Advancement

The Office of Advancement is seeking a candidate to cover the position of the Content Manager, Writer, Editor who will be responsible to create, manage, implement and edit content for the Office.

The preferred candidate will work with the Advancement team, as well as college-wide staff where needed to support the Advancement office communications, fundraising material, storytelling and goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media channels, prepare a content roadmap, produce relevant metrics reports and use the metrics for the formulation of a content strategy aiming to increase engagement.
  • Manage the creation of content for the Alumni networking platform, ACG Connect, namely alumni interviews, success stories, events, institutional news, short newsletters.
  • Support the creation of, – in collaboration with the Executive Directors-, fundraising material & proposals, publications, stewardship reports, etc.
  • Support the content creation for the Advancement websites to attract and engage more visitors to ACG sites.
  • Edit grants, proposals and content to assist with the execution of ACG’s strategic priorities.
  • Creates and oversees as needed the creation of internal and external communications, marketing material, invitations, letters, media reports, press releases, and special projects, etc ensuring that ACG’s message is consistent and engaging to alumni, donors, parents and prospects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in journalism, media, communications, english marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Excellent writing and editing communication skills. Ideally bilingual in English/Greek
  • 4-5 years of experience in content development, writing, editing, social media or related experience in a comparative field.
  • Expert in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Position: Junior Systems Administrator

The Information Resources Management of the American College of Greece is seeking a full time Junior Systems Administrator to work as an integral part of the routine network administration operations. He/she will be responsible for the administration and management of campus academic servers and systems that support Campus Network Services and the overall campus administrative and academic network for students, faculty, and staff.

Qualifications / Special Skills Required:

  • First degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent. Post-graduation related working experience will be considered a plus.

Position: Coordinator – International Student Services

The Office of International Student Services is seeking a candidate to the position of a full-time Coordinator – International Student Services.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-arrival support to all international and study abroad students by answering emails received and managing all necessary pre-arrival forms
  • Arrange airport pick-up for new international and study abroad students
  • Provide administrative support to the International Student Services Office in all areas relating to visas/residence permits, back-office operations and creation of promotional materials
  • Provide support to international and study abroad students related to international program services and activities to ensure they have the opportunity to participate fully in the study abroad experience and address any concerns that may arise
