President’s Welcome
Welcome to The American College of Greece, the oldest and largest, comprehensive U.S.-based and U.S.-accredited educational institution in Europe.
For 150 years, ACG has connected Greece to the world through education. From its founding in 1875 by Congregational women missionaries from Massachusetts, to its present role as one of the region’s leading educational hubs, ACG has continually reinvented itself to meet new challenges while remaining true to its mission: to advance knowledge, cultivate individual potential, and contribute to the common good.
Today, ACG enrolls more than 8,000 students from Greece and over 86 other countries across four distinctive divisions. Deree offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the liberal arts and sciences, business, and the fine and performing arts. Alba Graduate Business School provides internationally recognized MBAs, MScs, and extensive executive education. Pierce, our coeducational Pre-K–12 school, delivers both the Greek national curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Global Campus, based in Massachusetts, extends ACG’s reach worldwide through online degree programs designed for students around the globe. Together, these divisions create an unparalleled continuum of learning that extends across a lifetime.
Our campuses in Aghia Paraskevi, Downtown Athens, and Spata are centers of creativity and discovery. This site offers a window into those communities: you can explore the research and teaching of our faculty, listen to the voices of our students and alumni, and connect with the resources that support study and innovation at every level.
ACG’s more than 69,000 alumni in Greece, the United States, and around the world testify to the transformative power of an ACG education. As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we honor that legacy while looking ahead with ambition—preparing the next generation of leaders to address the urgent challenges of our time and to shape a more just, prosperous, and sustainable world.
