At The American College of Greece (ACG), sustainability isn’t just an idea—it’s a core principle embraced by our community. Our Sustainability Face of the Month series highlights ACG members who embody sustainable living and inspire change through their actions and involvement in ACG-led activities on and off campus.
Meet July’s Sustainability Face: Marina Prezani
Marina Prezani, a Deree International Business major, has cultivated a passion for sustainability from an early age and continues to nurture it through hands-on experiences both on campus and beyond.
Marina’s journey began with the Greek Guiding Association, where she actively participated in environmental and community support initiatives, like beach clean-ups and reforestation projects. A standout experience of hers with the Guides was helping create a large commemorative mural at the port of the island of Kasos last summer.
At ACG, she embraces every opportunity to put her commitment into action! Through participating in the Meaningful Engagement Trip with Ecogenia, the first climate corps in Greece, she contributed to the mobilization of youth in critical climate action. More recently, she also joined the annual ACG Spring Community Service Day: Baking for a Good Cause at the Loulis Mills premises, where volunteers baked and packaged treats donated to a local nonprofit through Boroume.
“Experiences like the Meaningful Engagement Trip and Baking for a Good Cause have deepened my commitment to environmental and social sustainability, both on and off campus. I’m inspired to keep acting toward a more equitable and sustainable future!”, shares Marina.
At ACG, we proudly feature members of the Community — students, faculty, and staff — who lead by example, inspiring their peers both on campus and beyond.
Because ACG Cares!
