On October 11, 2025, Deree became a vibrant hub of ideas and creativity as TEDxDereeACG 2025 unfolded under the theme “The Power of Unlearning.” The event brought together students, professionals, and changemakers for a day filled with inspiring talks, engaging experiences, and meaningful dialogue. Standout speakers, including Rea Vitali, Stelios Tzagkarakis, Evlambia Revi, Nancy Mallerou, and Elpida Bograkou, invited the audience to challenge familiar patterns and embrace the courage to start anew. Alongside the talks, attendees explored a series of information sessions by NGOs and nonprofits, including Doctors Without Borders, Checkpoint, Help Hellas, Archelon, MysteryPot, Alma Zois, and Ithaca Laundry, each showcasing how unlearning can drive social impact and community change.
The experience extended beyond the stage through interactive booths and creative activations by CommonSpace, AIESEC, Dark Cherry Vintage, Zealots of Nature, Vyronas Shelter, and Artarios Handmade, creating spaces for reflection, exchange, and action. The artistic component, curated by George Chionis, blended digital and physical art to visually capture the essence of unlearning, while workshops by Dialectica, our Visionary Partner, and Lean In encouraged participants to reimagine leadership and decision-making. Marking the first in-person TEDxDereeACG, the event became more than just a conference — it was a celebration of growth, creativity, and the power of rethinking what we know.
