Spyros Lavdas holds a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from University College London (UCL), complemented by both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. His areas of expertise encompass computational modeling, photonics, and data exchange in wireless communication networks, with a particular focus on the application of machine learning techniques in these fields. In parallel, he conducts research on data science and machine learning methodologies. Currently, Dr. Lavdas serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Computer Science at the American College of Greece. He is responsible for coordinating the Cybersecurity and Computer Networks program. Dr. Lavdas has published his work in leading academic journals and has actively contributed to numerous international conferences, where he has presented his research findings.
