Dr Georgios Ropokis holds a PhD degree in wireless communications from the University of Patras, Patras, Greece, an MSc degree in Mobile and Satellite Communications from the University of Surrey, Guildford, Surrey, UK, and a BSc in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Patras, Greece. He has served as a Visiting Researcher in EURECOM, France, for two years (2012-2014), as a Research Fellow at the CONNECT Center for Future Networks, at Trinity College Dublin (2016-2018), and as an Associate Professor at CentraleSupelec, Campus Rennes (2018-2022). His research focuses on wireless communication systems with emphasis on the use of mathematical optimization for the design of physical layer and multiple access algorithms. He has worked in several EU-funded and national research projects. He is currently a Part-Time Instructor at The American College of Greece and a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Renesas Electronics.
