Lilika (Eleftheria) Trikalinou

Lilika is trained as a sociologist with a BA (Highest Distinction) in Deree, a BA (Honors) in Religious Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an MSc in Sociology (Merit) from the LSE and a PhD title “Making Visible: The inhabitation of Urban Public Space by irregular migrants” from Goldsmiths University London, with a focus on migration in the urban environment. Following her academic interests in migration and the urban environment, she has conducted small-scale research that has been presented at various conferences. She has been working in the field of immigration since 2003 for the NGO Nostos and has been the managing director of IEKEP, a not-for-profit Lifelong Learning Center, since 2011. She manages EU and national projects, develops courses, and educational curricula. She has created tailor-made short-term courses on migration and has more than 500 hours of teaching experience in various settings.
