Information Technology, Cybersecurity and Computer ScienceMSc (Double degree) in Security and Privacy, EIT Digital Master School
Ektor Arzoglou holds a double MSc degree in Security and Privacy from the EIT DigitalMaster School. He currently pursues his PhD degree with Aalto University, Finland, and also serves as a Part-Time Professor in the Department of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and Computer Science at the American College of Greece. In his research, he analyzes the motivations behind people’s use of social media and, in turn, the impact of social media on individuals’ privacy and well-being. A major focus of his research is on the privacy paradox, which refers to the apparent inconsistency between people’s privacy concerns and actual privacy behavior. Methodologically, he is particularly interested in systems thinking, and he employs mainly the systems dynamics modeling methodology, incorporating information security and privacy concepts into both qualitative and simulation models.
