Athanasios Panagiotou

Athanasios Panagiotou graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (School of Law). He holds an LL.M. in Medical Law from Queen Mary, University of London and an MBA in Healthcare Management from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Department of Economics). He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the European Association of Health Law. In addition, he serves as Chairperson of the Special Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Mental Disorders at the Hellenic Ministry of Health. His articles on medical law have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented papers at national and international conferences, taught in seminars and summer schools, and participated in research projects. He has been teaching Business Legal Issues at ACG since 2016. He has served in managerial positions in the central government at the Ministries of Justice (focusing on rights of vulnerable groups) and Foreign Affairs (focusing on Greek Diaspora and Public Diplomacy).
