Angeliki Pollali specializes in the architectural history and theory of the Italian Renaissance. Her research interests include the historiography and methodologies of art history, with special emphasis on gender studies and psychoanalysis, as well as the relationship between art and science in the early modern period. In addition to publishing on these topics, she has given papers and organized sessions at the annual conferences of RSA-Renaissance Society of America, CAA-College Art Association, EAHN-European Architectural History Network, SAH-Society of Architectural Historians. Together with Berthold Hub, she has edited the volumes Images of Sex and Desire in Renaissance Art and Modern Historiography (Routledge, 2018) and Reconstructing Francesco di Giorgio Architect (Peter Lang, 2011). Angeliki was recipient of the Major State Fellowship from the British Academy, UK for her doctoral studies. She has been FRN Summer Scholar in Residence at New York University, NY, and recipient of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation Grant for CAA and RSA conferences.
