The Chemistry minor provides fundamental knowledge in different aspects of chemistry, including organic, physical and inorganic chemistry. Students may then choose three electives from a pool of courses that include biochemistry, human nutrition, organic chemistry laboratory, environmental and medicinal chemistry. The minor is destined to anyone that is interested in learning about the properties and characteristics of matter. It may be valuable to non-science students that want to pursue a career in the rapidly growing pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, as well as to other scientists that would like to deepen their understanding of Chemistry.
