What You Will Study

The minor in Bioinformatics is designed for computer scientists and IT experts, seeking to apply their expertise to biological problems, as well as health professionals and biomedical scientists, aiming to acquire skills in the fields of informatics and artificial intelligence. Students will learn the basics in the fields of informatics and biology and expand on specialized topics such as genomics, proteomics, data mining and health informatics. They will acquire fundamental programming skills and learn how to apply computational methods to biological and medical data. In addition, students will also have the opportunity to choose two electives amongst several biology and computer science related courses, tailoring their learning path to align with their professional and academic goals.
