Dr. Christou is a Senior Research Data Scientist at INTRASOFT Intl, Lux. and a part-time faculty member at ACG. He has over 25 years academic and industrial experience in the IT sector.

Dr. Christou’s current teaching at ACG involves Databases at the undergraduate level, and Applied Machine Learning & Advanced Machine Learning at the graduate level. He has taught as Full Professor at AIT, Greece, and as Adjunct Professor at Carnegie-Mellon University, USA, Aalborg University, Denmark, Democritus University of Thrace and the University of Patras, Greece.

Dr. Christou’s research interests include Scalable Data Mining, Parallel and Distributed Computing and Optimization and Computational Intelligence. He has published over 90 papers and a book. He is Academic Editor of the journal Mathematical Problems in Engineering
