About the event:

Are you interested in participating in a college study about how students are using generative AI tools in academic writing and research? The study will involve working on three academic writing tasks using any AI tool you want and recording your observations between the 10-27th November. The total involvement is estimated at 10 hours maximum. Those who complete all parts of the study will receive a 100-Euro voucher (e.g. Public or Plaisio). The exact nature of the academic writing tasks, the timeframe, specific deadlines and other details will be offered in an initial information session, during activity hour, 2.30-3.00 on Monday November 3rd in the Student Lounge. Consenting participants will be selected for the study on the basis of criteria such as credits completed, major, native language, familiarity with AI tools, etc. This will ensure a diverse sample which will offer rich insights into the participants’ views and experiences.
