Shipping Law and Marine Insurance - Level 6
Comprehensive study of modern shipping law. Ship registration and ownership structures. Key maritime contracts — sale, purchase, shipbuilding, management, supply, recycling, and finance with security documentation. Creditor disputes and taxation of shipping enterprises. Marine insurance — principles, main types of cover (H&M, P&I, war risks, freight, FD&D), rights and obligations of parties, and claims handling. “Wet” liabilities — collision, salvage, pollution, wreck removal, limitation of liability, and general average. Dispute resolution mechanisms through litigation, arbitration, and ADR.
