Modern Greek Poetry
A survey of modern Greek poetry from the 19th to the late 20th century; insight into modern Greek literature and its relation to European and other (e.g. American) cultural trends; major literary trends: romanticism, symbolism, modernism, surrealism, postmodernism. Emphasis on specific poets such as Solomos, Palamas, Cavafy, Sikelianos, Seferis, Elytis, Ritsos, Anagnostakis, Karouzos, Vacalo, Dimoula, Rouk.
