This course aims to provide a critical examination of concepts and issues related to the use of food supplements to improve health and reduce the incidence of disease-related events. Students appraise the importance of evidenced-based practice in determining the efficacy, recommendations, and safety of food supplements in every day practice.
The course is designed for Nutrition and Dietetics students, life sciences majors, and students interested in learning more about nutritional supplements.
