This lab provides an analytical approach to modern biochemistry to help students understand the major nutritional and biochemical processes related to health and disease. In the laboratory, students will examine the structure and chemical properties of biomolecules, enzyme kinetics, the intermediate metabolism of biomolecules, reactions and regulatory mechanisms of the main biochemical pathways. The course is designed for Nutrition and Dietetics students, life sciences majors, and students interested in learning more about biochemistry.
