Business Week 2012 @ DEREE

This year, Peter Economidis, brand strategist, founder and owner of Felix BNI, and Michael Bodouroglou, shipowner, Chairman and CEO of ALLSEAS MARINE SA, will be among the speakers who will address students and alumni. March 12 -15.

Piano recitals

Pianist Danae Kara, artist in residence at DEREE, will perform works of Beethoven on March 14 at 8 pm 

and May 9 at 6 pm. Both recitals will be held at PIERCE Theater and will be open to the public.

Think Tank

AIESEC GREECE organizes the “GlobalThinkTank4Greece” on March 17. DEREE hosts the event and organizes an afternoon workshop in which three DEREE alumni discuss how studying in an educational institution modeled as a US one benefited their careers. Get to know ALBA

All PIERCE and DEREE alumni are invited on March 19 at 6.30 pm to visit ALBA Graduate Business School at its new “home”, the Downtown Campus (Xenias 6-8). Discover DEREE

 

Before settling on a college, every prospective student will benefit by participating in Discover DEREE Day on March 20 (and again on June 28) to take a tour of the campus, attend a class, discuss academic plans with faculty. Gifts Of Note

Two Permanently Endowed Scholarship Funds Established at DEREE by Prominent Greek Business Woman

Mrs. Ioanna Arvanitis recently endowed the "Constantinos and Anneta Arvanitis Scholarships" in honor of her parents for the benefit of students with connections to the regions of Aigialeia or Kalavryta: "My father believed deeply in the value of knowledge and education, and I wanted to help people from the region where he – and I – was born."

ACG Cares

 

Students, faculty and staff are responding warmly

to the Food Drive held in both ACG campuses, consistent with ACG's long history in philanthropy. Since February 6, members of our community have been collecting food, warm clothes, and personal health care items which are then delivered to local food banks. The effort to help those most affected by the economic crisis continues and ACG is also counting on the support of alumni. Read more

Title of Honor

Do you know what a VAL is? Would you like to be one? VAL stands for “Volunteer Alumni Leader”,

a member of the dynamic task force of dedicated PIERCE and DEREE alumni who live abroad and have volunteered to support their alma mater and their fellow alumni who are newcomers to their area.

Education Today

More than anything, an academic institution should act as a forum in which thoughts are creatively exchanged and on February 8 ACG once again lived up to its role: Τhe ideas expressed by the prominent panelists made the discussion on "Quality and Social Contribution of Public & Private Higher Education Institutions" a highly stimulating one.
