Close to 300 people came together for a festive reunion party celebrating the DEREE Classes of ’02, ’03 & ’04 on
May 14 at the DEREE Student Lounge off the Main Corridor.

Alumni, faculty, student ambassadors, assistants, and ACG staff caught up, networked, and were also able to enjoy great food, drinks, a DJ, and a photoboxi – which allowed them to take photos they could instantly upload onto social media. A video also played memories from their days at DEREE.

ACG President Dr. David G. Horner warmly welcomed the alumni back on campus, and traced the new developments at their alma mater, which continues to grow, “despite the difficult times,” he noted.

Carolina Bachariou, ACG’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations Manager who opened the proceedings, also welcomed the alumni back on campus, saying she was very happy to have them back, wished them a fantastic reunion, and introduced two prominent alumni who took the floor.

Addressing the crowd, Mr. Georgios Sofronis (DEREE ‘03, BA in Economics), Mayor of Saronikos, said he was happy to be back on campus, and that he considers his time at DEREE precious, while noting that the microphone he was using to address fellow alumni was the “heaviest.”

Mr Vassilis Veliopoulos (DEREE ‘03, BA in Marketing), Field Marketing Services Director at the Adecco Group, also welcomed alumni back to the Ag. Paraskevi campus, noting how good it was to see so many familiar faces.

Till next time!
