Welcome to the April issue of Touch Base, your official ACG Alumni e-newsletter issued by ACG’s Office of Development & Alumni Relations, helping you stay in touch with old classmates and stay abreast of developments at your alma mater, The American College of Greece.

This April, we celebrate the coming of spring as well as Easter for Christians around the world, which mark a period of both introspection and a stimulation of the senses in awe of nature’s beautiful transformation.

To celebrate, we have a host of exciting news in this issue spanning fashion, business, sustainability and the environment, and also preview the upcoming PIERCE Class of ’75 Reunion, which takes place on April 20 at the PIERCE Theater & Lounge.

Also in this month’s Touch Base, read up on which celebrated alumni took part in the annual DEREE Business Week – a highly respected forum which brings together noted businesspeople and academics with students, and celebrated its tenth year with the theme Export-Led Growth. Find out what Keynote Speaker George Koutsolioutsos, CEO of Greece’s champion fashion retail exporter the Folli Follie group, shared with the audience, and what workshops, panel discussions and other events took place across campus with the business industry’s leading personalities.

Read on to find out which other ACG alumni are making a name for themselves in our popular alumni on the rise section.

Additionally, don’t miss our story on celebrated PIERCE alumna Celia Kritharioti, (PIERCE ‘86), who continues to make Greece and PIERCE proud, this time during Oscars Night 2015 when five famous women chose Celia Kritharioti Haute Couture for the most important night in show business – wearing her spectacular dresses at the Vanity Fair and Elton John after-Oscar parties.

Also in this issue, read about the ALBA MSc in Tourism Management, which has being recognized in the Tourism Awards this year with a silver medal, and find about the spectacular success of PIERCE students both at Harvard Model Congress Europe and for their business initiative youthelp.gr.

Find out about other exciting events at your alma mater, The American College of Greece, such as the recent Google workshop in our ACG Spotlight section, and our Calendar section, on the right.

Finally, don’t forget to update your profile here – also to be forwarded to those alumni who you know are not registered at all with us – so that you don’t miss out on reunions, other happenings, alumni news and much, much, more!

Happy Easter to all those celebrating!
