Dr Albert Arouh PhD

The American College of Greece announces with profound sorrow the passing of retired faculty member Professor Emeritus Albert Arouh, PhD, on April 12th.

Dr. Albert Arouh served DEREE as a full-time faculty member of economics for 33 years, touching the lives of thousands of students and all those who knew him. Albert was loved and respected by all his colleagues and students and will surely be missed.

“I remember Dr Arouh from my studies at DEREE,” says Christina Chondrogianni (DEREE ’92), adding “the way he would look at me sternly every time I tried to assume the role of carefree college student. One afternoon, he stopped me in the hallway and said to me: ‘ I don’t know why you underestimate yourself.’ Just that and he was gone. He never knew how much he changed my life.”
