Informed by the latest developments in research and teaching, our faculty provides high-quality education that fosters knowledge and understanding of the human experience across time and cultures. We aim to equip students with the critical skills needed to analyze complex ideas, raise moral awareness, communicate effectively, and engage with diverse perspectives. Our programs foster both professional and personal growth so that our graduates as global citizens can address contemporary challenges with empathy, cultural sensitivity and a lifelong love of learning.
Through constant mentoring of our faculty and students, the main goal is to foster a higher level of educational and research standards. Its faculty aims at excelling in research output and engaging students with their research experience, and the students at thriving in postgraduate studies in top universities. In providing training in critical skills and coherent argumentation, it encourages problem solving in all areas and serves the goals of a liberal arts education in helping students assess and adapt to a changing world in an era of globalization. By drawing on the diverse expertise of our faculty the department sustains a dynamic intellectual community. Our vision is to establish the Department of Humanities as a hub for distinctive and interdisciplinary research. We aim to create opportunities for collaboration within the humanities and across social sciences, the arts, sciences, and business, strengthening our ties with both local and international academic communities.
