Giving to The American College of Greece

In 1875, a courageous group of visionary women founded a girls school in Smyrna, creating a legacy of educational excellence which has flourished for 135 years. Today, The American College of Greece holds the distinction of being the oldest and largest accredited American institution in Europe. The vision of our 19th century founders is embodied in the College’s 21st century mission: transformative learning, scholarship and service to the global community.

Dedicated alumni and friends who partner with the College through giving help advance this important mission. Our donor partners make a difference:

  • Enabling deserving, gifted students to attend the College through merit scholarships.
  • Funding special programs that enrich the life of the College community and often the community beyond the College.
  • Providing the resources necessary to attract and support the teaching and research of outstanding faculty.
  • Assuring the ongoing development of the College’s world-class campus environment through expansion and renovation of facilities.
  • Adding to the College endowment to provide the financial strength necessary to preserve our educational quality in challenging times.
