Alumnus Makis Kosmatos, (DEREE ’90), the Managing Director of Johnson and Johnson Hellas (J&J), met with American College of Greece (ACG) President David G. Horner and ACG’s Executive Director of Development Mary-Irene Triantafillou (DEREE ’89) at the J&J Headquarters in Athens on May 19th in order to reiterate their commitment to their partnership.

Over the past year, J&J has offered two Internship positions to DEREE students and a Study Abroad experience to one of them as an extension of their internship. J&J have been very impressed by the caliber of the students and their ease and speed of adaptation, as well as their productivity, J&J’s HR Director Errica Lambrianou told the ACG officials.

During their visit, Dr. Horner and Ms. Triantafillou noted how pleased they are with ACG’s partnership with J&J.

The two ACG officials also met with two more alumni working for J&J in Greece: Maria Pallidou, Finance Director, Global Surgery Western Countries and Cordis Franchise EMEA at J&J (DEREE ’87, Major: Accounting & Finance) and Katerina Alifanti, Tax Manager Greece at J&J (DEREE ’99, Major: Accounting & Finance and ACG Dean’s List for High Academic Achievement). Ms. Pallidou and Ms. Alifanti shared their memories from when they were students, their favorite professors and spots on campus and recounted their career paths and personal news since graduation.
