Piano at its Forte, the concerts series being hosted at The American College of Greece this year was brought to a close on May 13 by the extraordinary piano duo Beata Pincetić and Christos Sakellaridis, who performed original compositions and transcriptions by Mozart, the Candide overture by Bernstein, four Norwegian dances by Grieg and Two rags by Bolcom to a teeming audience at the PIERCE Theater.

Over the year, a slew of distinguished soloists and two special concerts were featured in the series, including “Piano at its Forte JUNIOR,” featuring three pianists aged 12-14: Katerina Katamadze, Chara Tsipizidou, and Stathis Papadiamantopoulos, and on April 1, the second special concert featured an All-Mozart-Evening with the Athens Youth Symphony (ASON), collaborating with exceptional soloists in three Mozart piano concertos; Giorgos Konstantinou, Agathe Leimoni, and Dimitri Vassilakis, who performed Mozart concertos KV 453, 466, and 488 respectively, with the ASON Orchestra under the direction of Pantelis Kogiamis.
