PIERCE’s Traditional Greek Dancers took part in a musical tribute to great Greek musicians and teachers of traditional Epirus music, which took place November 14 at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaro Mousikis).

The group, made up middle school and high school (Gymnaseum and Lyceum) students performed the well-known Epirotic dance Pogonisios. 

The audience was treated to music from the legendary clarinet master Petroloukas Chalkias, who is well known around the world, and all in all 60 musicians, dancers and singers took part in the rich tribute. The event aimed at raising awareness for organ donors, while the evening’s proceeds went to the Association of Heavy Sufferers from Cardio and Pulmonary Ailments of Greece.
